The Hungarian Mambo tape recorder was produced at BRG under license from the Austrian company Stuzzi. BRG began manufacturing the M5 Mambo recorder in 1958.
Styled in the Mambo fashion, it features an above-average design with an attractive dark green faux leather cover, contrasting beautifully with lacquered brass embellishments and a creamy-shaped top plate. Inside the removable cover, a simple spring clip secures the reels in place during transport—a versatile solution. Despite its compact size, the machine provides ample space for the power cord and plug, as well as storage for a spare input cable and microphone.
